1. Scope & Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy applies to everyone who visits Milradar. The site is operated from the Netherlands, so the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, along with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where relevant.

2. What Milradar Does

Milradar draws publicly broadcast ADS-B aircraft positions on a globe. There are no user accounts. You cannot register, log in, subscribe, or submit anything to us, and there is nothing on the site that asks you for personal information. The flight data is for informational and curiosity purposes only, not for professional or operational use.

3. Legal Basis

We rely on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to operate and secure the website and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not rely on consent, because we run no processing that requires it, and there is no contractual basis, because there is nothing to sign up for.

4. What We Collect

• No account data. We never ask for or store a name, email address, or password, because there are no accounts to hold them.
• No profiles. We do not build visitor profiles and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking.
• Server logs. Our web host writes ordinary access log entries — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security and troubleshooting. They are not linked to an identity and are not used for analytics.
• Analytics. We use SimpleAnalytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free service that measures page views in aggregate and does not track individuals across websites.

5. Cookies

Milradar sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Two technical cookies come from the web framework itself:

• laravel_session — a session identifier, expires after two hours.
• XSRF-TOKEN — a cross-site request forgery token, expires after two hours.

Neither is tied to an identity, and neither is used to follow you. Our analytics provider sets no cookies at all.

6. Data Retention

We hold no personal data, so there is nothing to retain, export, or erase. Aircraft positions and flight trails are fetched live and kept in a server-side cache for a matter of seconds — that data describes aircraft, not you. Server access logs are rotated by our host on its normal schedule.

7. Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data. Loading Milradar does cause your browser to contact a small number of external services, each of which necessarily receives your IP address as part of the request:

• simpleanalyticscdn.com — privacy-focused analytics.
• fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com — Google Fonts, for the site typeface.
• cdn.jsdelivr.net — the 3D rendering library that draws the globe.

Flight data comes from adsb.lol, but your browser never contacts them: our server fetches the data and relays it, so adsb.lol sees only our server and never your IP address. Their aircraft data is published under the ODbL licence.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or erasure
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• File a complaint with your data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens

In practice we hold nothing tied to you, so an access request will almost always come back empty. You are welcome to ask anyway; email us and we aim to respond within 30 days.

9. Children’s Privacy

Milradar is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, minors included.
