About the An-148
The An-148 is an awkward aircraft politically. It was designed by Antonov in Kyiv and built in both Ukraine and Russia, and when relations collapsed the Russian production line continued without Ukrainian support, leaving a small fleet with an uncertain supply chain.
Russia's defence ministry and its special flight detachment operate most of the surviving airframes as staff transports. Production has effectively ended.
It appears here rarely, and Russian military ADS-B coverage is thin, so expect this page to be empty most of the time.

How to recognise it

Antonov design practice, inherited from its transport aircraft: it keeps the engines and fuselage clear of debris on poor runways, which was part of the original specification.

Effectively no. Ukrainian production stopped, and the Russian line at Voronezh wound down after the breakdown in cooperation left it without Ukrainian-supplied parts.
