About the PZL-130 Orlik
The Orlik — Eaglet — is Poland's basic trainer, designed at the Okęcie works in Warsaw and turboprop-powered from the TC-I version onward. It is the aircraft Polish military pilots learn on before moving to jets.
It is also the mount of the Orlik aerobatic team, the Polish Air Force display formation, which is when most people outside Poland see it.
The fleet is small and almost entirely Polish, so this page will normally show one or two at most, flying short training sorties around Radom and Dęblin.

How to recognise it

Eaglet, in Polish. Polish aircraft frequently carry bird names — the W-3 is the Sokol, or Falcon.
+ Is the Orlik still in production?
No. The fleet has been progressively upgraded to the TC-II standard with new avionics and a five-blade propeller, but new airframes are not being built.
+ Who flies the Orlik?
Essentially only Poland, for basic training and the air force display team. Export attempts were unsuccessful.
