About the Mirage 2000
The Mirage 2000 is a tailless delta, a shape Dassault has returned to repeatedly since the 1950s, and it is the aircraft the Rafale is gradually replacing in French service. Around 600 were built and it remains front-line equipment for several air forces.
India is the largest export operator and has upgraded its fleet substantially. Greece, Taiwan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Peru and Brazil have all flown it, and in 2024 France began transferring aircraft to Ukraine.
French aircraft transmit on transits, so this page is occasionally populated. The delta has no tailplane at all, which is the quickest way to tell it from a Rafale.
